today is joe's 39th birthday. We'll celebrate by making his favorite dinner (tacos) and having a chocolate chocolate cake. Nora and I got him some dr marten boots that he'll like. I bought a card that allows you to record a message -- I was so excited because he could take it with him on trips and such... if ONLY Nora would say Daddy, Love You, Birthday... anything, really. Currently we have her crying and shouting NO.

Happy Birthday Joe!! Try the card again after nap time, hopefully then she'll be ready. Phoebe was the same way with her birthday thank you notes. She didn't want to write on them until she was good and ready.
