my friend cheri's circle of friends and family is quite diverse. Her husband is from Ireland, she's greek, and many of their friends are from countries all over the world. So, it's quite common to define people by their ethinicity or country of origin, etc. Recently, her ten year old told her quite proudly that the neighbors family is part lesbian.
