Arthur is my haven within the world of animation. Since the age of about 6, I haven't really cared for cartoons and becoming a parent hasn't changed that. In the swirls of improbability, whining, sexism, bad fashion, lessons repeatedly not learned, and I say again, improbability was the easy oasis of Arthur. He doesn't whine (though his little sister does) and I find the whole show entirely watchable. Until yesterday. When the episode either had a new actor or Arthur reached puberty. Blech. It's like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.
